Those who want to adapt the style and look of the classic man have to struggle a bit more today than in times past, since those things are less common today. Like, how a tie is tied can be a mystery for those who’ve never done it before. Fortunately, the internet is full of tutorials and resources. You only need to find a starting point.
I’ve found the website The Art of Manliness to be a nice starting point. Generally good practical advise, and a somewhat amusing “old school” tone and look. Take a look at the tutorial in how to iron a shirt. Or the post about pleats in dress trousers (having pleats in the pants makes life easier for those who work a lot with their pockets).
Their YouTube channel is also good to check out, because sometimes there are great additional advise in the comments.
